Doug Pederson's Post Game Locker Room Speech Was One Cheesy Cliche
Not that it’s a bad thing. 3-0 is 3-0. Pederson can come out speaking Swahili if it inspires his squad, but you can’t deny this man is full of cheese. It’s like an awkward Dad addressing a bunch of little leaguers before rolling out the pizza and soda post game. “Team.” “Believe.” “Chop wood.” Doug’s throwing fist bumps ahoy and I even think I saw a double gun in there. Props for at least being self-aware of his level of Honkey to not get caught up in that hop session. That would’ve been one GIF that would’ve lasted for life.
I will say this, I never bought much into that “Emotional Intelligence” bullshit Jeffrey Lurie was slinging our way after firing Chip. Millionaires shouldn’t have to be fucking coddled to do their jobs. But, again, winning fixes everything. And if this team keeps slugging out victories in woodshed fashion then Doug can lead these guys in Kumbaya around a fire all he wants. Just somebody get me a Super Bowl, dammit.
